Basil acquires 490 Limited in UK
As on 16th February, 2012, Basil has completely acquired 490 Limited, a retail communication agency based in Leeds, UK. 490 Limited was a part of MSQ Partners and have been in business since 2004.
This acquisition is the first among many of Basil's vision to have a Global Marketing Communication Group which gives clients the leverage of right-shoring and transparent, de-coupled pricing to manage their Marcom budgets.
490 Limited comes into Basil's fold with a 45 member team, photography, creative production facility and some bluechip clients like Argos, Avon, Diversey, Brakes, Wilkinsons, Homebase.
Together with 490 Global (the new name for 490 Limited), Basil would be able to deliver a team of planners, client servicing, creative and production in the UK along with the offshore production hub in India. Basil would probably be the first agency group which will deliver a de-coupled service option to customers at the beginning of every relationship.
